PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns (42-30) are continuing a lengthy road trip tonight against the Denver Nuggets (51-21) at Ball Arena.

The Suns suffered one of the more disheartening losses of their entire NBA season on Monday night in a loss to the San Antonio Spurs minus star Victor Wembanyama, while Denver has only dropped two games since the All-Star break - one of them coming against the Suns on March 5.

Denver is lead by C Nikola Jokic, who is now poised to win the third MVP honor of his career this season while supporting stars Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. have risen to the occasion ahead of the postseason.

Let's take a look at the statistical output of Nuggets starters over the last 10 games:

Jamal Murray: 21.9 PPG/5 RPG/7.8 APG/1.8 SPG on 45.1/43.6/85.7%.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: 8.7/2.1/2.3/1.6 on 48.5/40/100.

Michael Porter Jr.: 18.5/6/1.6 on 57.3/46.7/83.3.

Aaron Gordon (questionable): 13.6/6.6/4.3 on 56.8/16.7/66.7.

Nikola Jokic: 27.3/12/7.8/1.3 on 59.4/40/88.

The starting five Denver has is among the best in basketball, but Reggie Jackson and Christian Braun have quietly enjoyed quality seasons off the bench themselves.

Expect Denver to come out firing on all cylinders out of the gate - they are certainly motivated to secure the number 1 seed in the conference.

Phoenix is also facing the possibility of both Bradley Beal and Jusuf Nurkic missing the contest, so it will be an uphill climb, but the Devin Booker/Kevin Durant duo have proven that they can overcome short-handed squads against the Nuggets in the past.

Suns-Nuggets is set to tip shortly after 7:00 PM Arizona time tonight.
