Suns Rule Two Starters Questionable vs Nuggets

The Phoenix Suns could be without Bradley Beal and Jusuf Nurkic against the Denver Nuggets.

PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns are officially ruling starters Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) and Bradley Beal (finger) as questionable when the team battles the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday, according to The Arizona Republic's Duane Rankin.

Nurkic exited Monday's loss against the San Antonio Spurs after 19 minutes of action, putting up six points, nine rebounds, four assists, one steal and two blocks before leaving in the third quarter.

Phoenix missed Nurkic's presence, as San Antonio gained control of the game and ultimately held on to a 104-102 victory to stun the Suns.

Beal played 30 minutes and shot just 4-11 from the field for nine points, five rebounds, six assists and two steals. He also suffered his injury in the second half, though there was just minutes remaining in the game when he exited.

X-rays on Beal's sprained finger came back negative. Beal himself told reporters following the game his plan was to play on Wednesday.

Beal also said the loss to San Antonio - who was without Victor Wembanyama - was disappointing.

"It's disappointment. We came in here and laid an egg. We thought it was going to be easy with no Wemby. Just got our ass kicked. They came out aggressive, just like Coach [Frank Vogel] told us they would, and we didn't respond. Well, we did, but we didn't withstand their punches,"said Beal following the loss.

The Suns are 42-30 with the West's No. 8 seed in their possession leading into tonight. Phoenix has just ten games remaining before the postseason begins.
