Wolves Reveal Final Status of Star Duo vs Suns

The Minnesota Timberwolves ruled Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns as questionable heading into today.

PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns will face both Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns today, as the Minnesota Timberwolves cleared both stars ahead of the season finale.

Edwards (illness) has been healthy for a vast majority of the season, as he's only missed three games on the entire year. To date, he's averaging 26.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.1 assists per night. Edwards also has averaged 1.3 steals per game and has elevated himself as arguably one of the top players in the NBA.

Edwards - a two-time NBA All-Star - is less than a week removed from a 50-point performance.

Towns (knee) returned for Minnesota on Friday after missing 18 games due to a meniscus tear in his left knee. He finished with 11 points, five rebounds and eight assists. His presence alongside Rudy Gobert down low provides quite the daunting task for teams to work around, as far as the interior goes.

Towns was highlighted in our game preview, which you can read more of here:

"His ability to both stretch opposing defenses and put the ball on the floor could put more stress on the Suns' efforts than was previously seen in the last matchup, as there isn't a truly congruent matchup the Phoenix defense can get on him."

Suns-Wolves will tip at 12:30 PM Arizona time. Minnesota is playing for a chance at the West's No. 1 seed while the Suns aim to get themselves out of the play-in tournament.
