The Phoenix Suns undeniably have a vital game ahead of them tonight against the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Pelicans come into this game with a two game lead over the Suns - but Phoenix has a chance to clinch the head-to-head tiebreaker following a victory against New Orleans on January 19.

The Suns come into the game fully healthy outside of Damion Lee, who has been inactive all year due to meniscus surgery that was completed prior to the start of the season.

Phoenix head coach Frank Vogel opted to roll with the starting unit that has dominated much of the past three months of Suns basketball:

Devin Booker
Bradley Beal
Grayson Allen
Kevin Durant
Jusuf Nurkic

Booker has seen particular success against New Orleans - averaging 30.6 PPG over the last five matchups against them.

Nurkic also has an optimal matchup to bounce back from a rough stretch - the big man has averaged only 8 PPG over the last 10 games while also shooting a disappointing 41.4% from the free throw line.

This could also be a game in which Thaddeus Young sees time on the court, as Young matches up better against New Orleans than traditional backup big Drew Eubanks.

Pelicans head coach Willie Green opted for the starting unit that has been constant since Brandon Ingram exiting the lineup due to a knee sprain - C.J. McCollum, Trey Murphy III, Herb Jones, Zion Williamson, and Jonas Valinciunas.

Suns-Pelicans is set to tip off just past 5:00 PM Arizona time. Action will be broadcast on both NBA TV for national audiences and AZ Family for Arizona residents.
