The Oklahoma City Thunder lost an incredibly close game in Philadelphia last night. In Joel Embiid's return to the floor for the 76ers, the Thunder's lack of lead ball handlers and game managers was evident. Without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander or Jalen Williams, the Thunder fell short in clutch time.

Now, the team looks to bounce back after losing sole control of the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. In doing so, they're taking on the NBA's best team in the Boston Celtics, who hold the best record in the assosiation.

The matchup, being broadcast on ESPN, features two of the NBA's best teams this season. This is a big opportunity for the Thunder to capture even more late season momentum if they're able to steal a win on the road.

Injury Report

Thunder:

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, OUT (Quad)

Jalen Williams, OUT (Ankle)

Ousmane Dieng, OUT (G League)

Adam Flagler, OUT (G League)

Olivier Sarr, OUT (G League)

Keyontae Johnson, OUT (G League)

Celtics:

Jaylen Brown, Available (Hand)

Jaden Springer, OUT (Knee)

JD Davidson, OUT (G League)

Drew Peterson, OUT (G League)

Neemias Queta, OUT (G League)

Jordan Walsh, OUT (G League)

Should the Thunder be without Gilgeous-Alexander and Williams -- barring any upgrade to either player's status -- this game becomes substantially more difficult for them. The Celtics are the league's best team, and they're much better than the 76ers defensively.

The Celtics being without Brown would be a big break for the Thunder, but him being questionable could lead to him playing.

Outside of those three names, there is no other big-impact name on the injury report and most inactives are G League players.

Updated Odds:

The Celtics opened as a 9.5-point favorite, and the spread grew to 10.5-points as the games gets closer and closer. This game feels like one where the Thunder get behind them and allow their two stars to get healthy. Coming away with a victory without those two would be an incredible feat.
