Josh Giddey Leaves OKC Thunder Game with Apparent Injury

Josh Giddey left Oklahoma City's game versus the Clippers with an apparent ankle injury.

The Oklahoma City Thunder entered Thursday with a matchup against a scorching-hot Los Angeles Clippers team. After a shaky start to the James Harden era, the Clippers finally turned things around and did so in a big way.

The Thunder entered the game fully healthy, as they’ve been pretty fortunate when it came to injuries recently.

To start the game, the Thunder saw some pretty good offense and pace. As the half wound down, the Clippers fought back and trimmed the deficit. Then, after a bit of a confidence-boosting game, Josh Giddey turned his ankle before halftime. Cason Wallace then started the second half for him and he was ruled out of the game.

This injury comes at a bad time for Giddey, as he was finally playing into the form he showed he was capable of last year after a slow start to the season.

The injuries didn’t stop there for the Thunder, though, as Jalen Williams would also roll his ankle early in the second half, sending a second Thunder player to the locker room in this game. Williams eventually made his way back to the court, though.

Now, the depleted Thunder is trying to defend its lead as the Clippers have stormed back early in the second half.
