Thunder Gameday: OKC Takes on Spurs to End Back-to-Back

Oklahoma City will play the Spurs to end a home back-to-back Wednesday night.

After getting back on track Tuesday night with a come-from-behind win over the Sacramento Kings, the Thunder are back in action Wednesday against the San Antonio Spurs.

For the first time in several games, Oklahoma City was nearly back to full health last night, rolling out Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams. The team had previously suffered a three-game slide, but is now looking to right the ship prior to the NBA Playoffs in the coming weeks.

ODDS:

The Thunder enter the day as 14.5-point favorites against the Spurs, and the total over/under is 226.5 points.

KEYS TO THE GAME:

OKC was down by as many as 20 in the first half against Sacramento, largely due to some rust and the Kings hitting shot after shot.

The second half was a different story, however. Gilgeous-Alexander poured on 17 of his 40 points, and the team saw sharper defensive rotations than they have in awhile.

San Antonio isn’t a great team, but they’ve shown plenty of internal development over the course of the season, and have even beat the Thunder once already. In order to come away with a win, OKC is going to have to continue to build on their second half performance from Tuesday night with ball movement, shot-making and high-energy defense.
