Anthony Edwards, Naz Reid, Rudy Gobert all questionable for Nuggets showdown

Edwards suffered a left middle finger dislocation and sprain.

Anthony Edwards suffered a dislocated and sprained middle finger on his left hand during his emphatic dunk over John Collins on Monday night. While he got the digit popped back into place and played the rest of the game with two fingers taped together, he's questionable for Tuesday's night's showdown against the Denver Nuggets.

Edwards is joined on the injury report by Rudy Gobert (left rib sprain) and Naz Reid (head injury), who are also listed as questionable. Gobert has missed the last two games with his injury and Reid exited Monday night's game in Utah with a head injury, of which there aren't any details about.

Minnesota is also still without All-Star big man Karl-Anthony Towns, who is recovering from a torn meniscus in his left knee and isn't expected back until, at the earliest, the playoffs.

Edwards is known for toughing out injuries so it won't be a surprise if he starts in what is a big game among two of the top three seeds in the Western Conference. The Wolves and Nuggets are both 47-21, just a half-game behind Oklahoma City (47-20) for the No. 1 seed in the West.

OKC is off until Wednesday when they host the Jazz.

If Edwards plays and Gobert and Reid don't, the starting lineup might feature Mike Conley, Edwards, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Jaden McDaniels and Kyle Anderson. It'll definitely be a small ball approach against Jokic and the Nuggets, who enter the game with good health.

Tipoff is set for 8:10 p.m. inside the Target Center.
