DeMar DeRozan Gives Honest Answer About Jordan Poole's Struggles

DeMar DeRozan still believes in Jordan Poole

Jordan Poole had an incredibly rough playoffs this season. Time after time, he underperformed when the Golden State Warriors needed him. Despite that, other NBA players have not given up on the four-year player.

On an episode of Podcast P, DeMar DeRozan gave a very honest answer about Jordan Poole's struggles in the playoffs this season.

"Nobody have a perfect off-season, we've all done had our shares of struggles" DeRozan said."Sometimes those struggles are necessary for what's coming later. That's the way I look at it. It sucks that he's struggling for his team, I'm sure he wants to do everything to help for his team, but sometimes this may be something he need to be even 10x better than he could even expect later if this didn't happen."

If there's one player who knows about struggling to succeed later, it's DeMar DeRozan. After struggling with the San Antonio Spurs, DeRozan found himself again with the Chicago Bulls. For that reason alone, he believes that Poole can bounce back in the same way.

"If he wasn't going through this moment that he's going through now, would he pan out to be the player that he probably sees himself to be," DeRozan questioned. "Probably not. He probably needs this moment to become more later down the line, it sucks in the moment, but that's how I look at it. I've been through it."

It's going to be a very important off-season for Jordan Poole. One that he can bounce back from and be an even greater player, or one that can hold him back from being the potential of who he could be.
