Draymond Green Reacts to New Ja Morant Gun Video

Draymond Green gave a nuanced response to Ja Morant's newest incident.

Ja Morant can't seem to help himself stay out of trouble. The more trouble he gets in, the more he's dominating the news cycle, including Draymond Green's podcast.

In the newest episode of The Draymond Green Show, Draymond gave a very nuanced response to Ja Morant's newest gun video incident. The first thing Green noticed, was just how crushed NBA Commissioner Adam Silver looked, and wondered what type of punishment would occur.

"Ja Morant, I saw Adam Silver speaking, Adam Silver looked crushed," Green said. "Adam is a player's commissioner, and so a part of him is just like crushed. Because he's like, 'come on man,' like he said they had a long conversation and I thought we were like past this and we spoke about it. So now it puts Adam and Joe Dumars in such a tough spot. Like what's the punishment going to be now? You have time to make that decision, but it is going to be a substantial one. It is going to be one that affects the Memphis Grizzlies' season.

While many are disagreeing on what the punishment should be for Ja Morant, there's one thing that everyone can agree on - what Ja Morant did is incredibly stupid. It's beyond easy to just now go on Instagram Live and flash a gun, probably one of the easiest things someone can do to avoid trouble. Somehow, Ja Morant just keeps doing it.

"Again, I've had my mistakes," Draymond said. "I just don't understand why they're on Instagram Live so much. You guys should probably should stay away from Instagram Live. It hasn't proven to be beneficial."

The repercussions of Ja Morant's shoe partnership with Nike will also likely be massive. He's the new face of young American basketball in the NBA, and he keeps giving parents a reason to not endorse him.

"Everyone saying it's irresponsible, of course it's irresponsible," Green said. "You're trying to build a business, a substantial sneaker business. Kids drive sneaker sales, kids parents buy shoes. Those children parents aren't impressed with what they're seeing."

As if the Memphis Grizzlies didn't have enough drama and volatility this NBA season, now, their off-season will have even more.
