Golden State Warriors Make Two Injury Announcements

The Golden State Warriors have shared two injury updates

In an official announcement on Monday afternoon, the Golden State Warriors shared injury updates on Moses Moody and Gary Payton II.

On Moody, the Warriors shared the following:

"Warriors guard Moses Moody, who suffered a grade 1 strain of his left calf on January 10 vs. New Orleans and has missed the last three (3) games, was recently re-evaluated. The reevaluation indicated that Moody is making good progress. He has been cleared to begin light individual on-court workouts and will be re-evaluated again in one (1) week."

On Payton, the Warriors shared the following:

"Warriors guard Gary Payton II, who suffered a grade 2 strain of his left hamstring on January 2 vs. Orlando and has missed the last seven (7) games, was recently re-evaluated. The reevaluation indicated that Payton is making good progress. He has been cleared to begin light individual on-court workouts and will be re-evaluated again in two (2) weeks."

While the Warriors need much more help than these two players can provide, getting Moody and Payton back would help stabilize Golden State's rotation a bit, especially with Chris Paul sidelined. While Moody has been in and out of the rotation, there could be some minutes available with Paul out. As for Payton, he has been a solid rotation piece for the Warriors each time ehe has been healthy.
