Kevin Durant's Injury Status vs. Warriors Receives Major Update

The Golden State Warriors will not face Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant on Tuesday night

With Bradley Beal expected to return from injury on Tuesday night, the Phoenix Suns were hoping to get their first look at the big three of Beal, Kevin Durant, and Devin Booker. This trio has yet debut this season, as different injuries have kept at least one of those three stars off the court in every game the Suns have played this season.

While Beal is indeed set to return on Tuesday, Durant has been ruled out with a left ankle sprain. This is a major update to Durant's injury status, as he was not ruled out a day prior, but was instead listed as questionable before being downgraded to out on Tuesday morning.

The Warriors will have to deal with a backcourt of Booker and Beal, but they will not have to face Durant, who is arguably the most lethal of them all. It has been a very frustrating season for the Suns from an injury standpoint, as their big three was supposed to put them near the very top of the Western Conference, but that has yet to materialize.

Having lost their last two games, the Suns are just 12-10 on the season, which has them in 8th place in the Western Conference. The Warriors are of course even worse, sitting at 10-12, as they are trying to climb out of this early season hole.
