Klay Thompson Admittedly Regrets Viral Devin Booker Moment
When Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson held up four fingers in response to Devin Booker's trash talk last season, he was reminding the Phoenix Suns star how many rings he had. While Thomson does have four rings, and has been a core piece of Golden State's dynasty, that viral moment is one he admittedly regrets.
Recently joining Podcast P, which is presented by Wave Sports and Entertainment, Thompson admitted that moment did not age well, and is something he didn't need to be doing.
"I was in my feelings, and [Booker] was busting my ass that day," Thompson said. "I was not where I needed to be. Stuff doesn't age well, and that didn't age well for me. I don't need to be flexing four rings, bro. Everybody knows that, that's on Wikipedia. My game wasn't where it was at, and we all get insecure at times. I'm man enough to admit we all have our moments of weakness. I'm not really proud of that one."
Thompson actually shared some praise for Booker, saying he's proud of the the Suns star for becoming a franchise player after several years of chaos in Phoenix. It was a cool moment on the episode, because Thompson was very honest about regretting that viral moment, and actually shared some praise for the other player it involved.
