Knicks Player Shares Unexpected Steph Curry Statement

Donte DiVincenzo credited Steph Curry for his success.

Even though Donte DiVincenzo isn't a member of the Warriors anymore, he's still figuring out ways to learn under the Golden State tree. DiVincenzo has had a tremendous start with the New York Knicks this season, and he actually credited that success to Steph Curry.

This week, DiVincenzo spoke to the media about his success with the Knicks, where he credited Steph Curry, Jordan Poole, and Klay Thompson.

“Just watching how Steph goes about,” DiVincenzo said. “Steph, Jordan, and Klay were huge for me in just seeing how they prepared every day. I watched Steph go 1-for-12 and come in the next day and shoot 1,000 shots. And I’ve seen him go 12-for-12 and come in and shoot 1,000 shots. So it just taught me the preparation (needed) to be able to have the confidence in-game. Coming over here, I’m not changing anything about my routine….Good game, bad game. Good shooting night, doesn’t matter. I’ll just come in and do the same thing every night."

In the month of January, DiVincenzo is averaging 13.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.2 assists on 44% from the field and 37% from three. He's started 25 of 43 games for the Knicks and his capacity as a starter has been part of the reason why New York has a 26-17 record. Learning under Steph Curry is a moment not many players get to experience, but one DiVincenzo made the most of.
