NBA Champion Shares Amazing Story of Historic Klay Thompson Game

Klay Thompson had a career-high of 60 points.

Before the injuries, Klay Thompson was doing some pretty amazing things on the basketball court. The types of things that are hard to do even in a video game. One perfect example was when he scored a career-high 60 points against the Indiana Pacers on 11 dribbles - a story that Jeff Teague still remembers.

On the newest episode of the Club 520 Podcast, Jeff Teague revealed a hilarious story of when Klay Thompson dropped a career-high on his Indiana Pacers.

"I remember one time we played Klay Thompson in Golden State when I was on the Pacers the one year I was on there," Jeff Teague said. "He gave us 60 points. That n***a didn't dribble the ball but 11 times...I didn't guard him, that wasn't me this time... I wasn't doing none of that, I was guarding Steph."

One of the best parts of the story is how willingly Teague throws Paul George and Monta Ellis under the bus as the two players who were actually guarding Klay Thompson. Paul George wanted to take on the task but failed.

"It was Monta and PG," Teague said. "Yup, calling them n****s out. It was them two, it wasn't me. He was doing us so bad I remember PG didn't start on him, PG was like, 'I F**KING GOT HIM THEN!' 25 this quarter, I was like damn!"

The best part of the story is the fact that Aaron Brooks was fanboying in the locker room at Thompson's performance during halftime.

"What's so funny we was only down like 15 or something at half, and we was like, 'WE RIGHT THERE!'. Aaron Brooks was like, 'Look at Klay Thompson on the stat sheet.' He whispered it to me."

It may seem like being critical of Klay Thompson may be the trendy thing to do right now, but he's a player who should always receive the respect of Warriors fans and critics alike.
