NBA Legend Slams Draymond Green's Apology

Kenny Smith believes Draymond should be done with apologies.

If there's one play who is beginning to feel like the boy who cried wolf, it's Draymond Green. Time and time again, he continues to give fake apologies for antics he commits on the court, and former NBA players are starting to feel the same way.

On an episode of Inside the NBA, Kenny Smith addressed Draymond Green's apology about the Rudy Gobert incident and believed Green shouldn't be apologizing anymore. While Smith is a fan of Draymond, he's tired of hearing apologies.

"We all love Draymond individually, he comes in and we love him," Smith said. "We're at a point where if you're apologizing consistently, then you're actually in the wrong. There's no more apologies. This is the third apology I think in the last six months. 'I hurt the team,' this is the third time we've heard 'I apologize to the team.'"

To Smith, Draymond is too old and too accomplished of a player to keep making these apologies - Smith isn't wrong. Draymond Green is a four-time NBA Champion, he's not a young 20-year-old player anymore.

"He's too good of a player and too seasoned of a player to having to keep apologizing," Smith said. "At 22, 23, 24 years old, you can keep apologizing. At this stage of his career, and a champion, we should be out of the apology stages in his career."

Draymond Green isn't a dumb individual. He knows what the line is in the NBA, he knows how valuable he is to his time. Yet for some reason, he keeps losing control and letting his team down.

"He knows where it is, he keeps crossing it," Smith said. "He's too good for the team and too valuable because what he does is... he puts everybody in their correct position. There is something about that."

Simply put, Draymond Green has to be better.
