Steve Kerr Makes Shocking Statement About Warriors

Steve Kerr got very honest about the Warriors.

There's no way to sugar coat it, the Golden State Warriors have not been a great basketball team this season. Every time it seems like the team takes one step forward, they take two steps backward. Head coach Steve Kerr believes he knows the reason why.

After the Warriors suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Dallas Mavericks, Steve Kerr gave a very blunt assessment of the team's grit and chemistry.

"First of all, I love the guys on this team," Kerr said. "We have a really good group. I think they have a good chemistry, they get along well, but we haven't found that grit that every good team needs. Where you pull together and you just play for the group. We're not there yet, and that's a problem. We've got great guys, love every one of them, but until this team really connects in a way that is solely dedicated to winning each and every game, then we're going to be stuck in this place. So, we need to get there."

It seemed like the Golden State Warriors found their groove during their five-game winning streak, especially during the Celtics game. However, this current three-game losing streak is showing that the team really does lack the grit that Steve Kerr is mentioning. Some of that could be because of Draymond Green's absence, but they went on a winning streak without him.

It's hard to say what will fix the Warriors this season, but one thing is for sure, they need to figure things out soon.
