Steve Kerr Makes Shocking Statement on Warriors Trade Deadline

Steve Kerr made a statement that Warriors fans may not like.

The Golden State Warriors are a team that needs to make a move, especially as a team that's still three games under .500. Despite that, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr believes the team doesn't need to make a trade.

When Steve Kerr spoke to the media today, he gave a statement that may shock Warriors fans.

“I feel like this group can do something special," Kerr said. "I really do. So if we don’t do anything tomorrow, we feel like we have a good group we can push with."

On one end, this could just be a coach sticking up for his players. As a coach, Steve Kerr can't really publicly state that he thinks the team needs a trade, because if a move doesn't get made then his current players will be disheartened.

Regardless, it's still very clear as day that the Golden State Warriors just aren't good enough this season. Kerr's statements yesterday echo the same remarks he made today as well.

"I don't anticipate anything happening," Kerr said. "I can tell you there's been no desperation on our part. There's plenty of conversations, but 0 desperation."

The biggest concern for the Warriors is if they believe they can make a legitimate push with this roster next season. If there's some kind of fine-tuning or adjustment they can make that'll suddenly fix all of their issues. However, too many players on the team are just straight-up underperforming for that to happen.
