Steve Kerr Reveals Shocking Statement About Warriors Trust Issues

The Golden State Warriors were a fractured team this season.

There's no denying it, the Golden State Warriors were a fractured team this season. In some moments, they looked spectacular, in other moments, it looked like the dynasty was about to end.

By the end of the season, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr couldn't deny the facts anymore himself. From the moment that Draymond Green punched Jordan Poole in the face, things just weren't the same this season. No matter what, it's hard to get that trust back between players after an incident like that, something Kerr expanded upon.

"There's no hiding from it, the incident with Draymond and Jordan at the beginning of the year played a role in that," Kerr said. "It's hard for that not to impact a team... There was some trust lost. That's as blunt as I can be. The only way to try to correct course is to continue to communicate with players and coaches...We have to get back to what made us successful, which is a trusting environment.”

Whether it was because of the punch, or because of a lack of trust, Jordan Poole just couldn't perform like his usual self in the NBA Playoffs this season. Poole was absolutely dismal, with some of his performances even costing the Warriors some games. During the regular season, Jordan Poole was averaging 20.4 points on 43/33/87 shooting. In the playoffs, he somehow dropped down to 10.3 points on 22/34/77 shooting. Something definitely affected Poole's confidence, and it was more than just the opposing team's scheming.

Regardless, Steve Kerr knows that the Golden State Warriors won't be a championship contending without Draymond Green, and Steph Curry wants Draymond back. Jordan Poole also just signed a four-year, $128 million extension with the Warriors. There will be some very difficult conversations going on in the Warriors organization this off-season.
