Sudden Names Added to Warriors Injury Report vs Timberwolves

The Golden State Warriors have added some new names.

The Golden State Warriors started the day with a fully healthy injury report, but it looks like they've suddenly added names less than two hours before tipoff against the Timberwolves.

The Warriors have added two names to their injury report: Gary Payton II and Andrew Wiggins. Gary Payton II is listed as questionable with a right finger infection, and Andrew Wiggins is listed as probable with left cervical thoracic tightness. Payton's finger infection is a very new development and it seems to have apparently stemmed from when he cut his hand on the team's road trip. Hopefully, it doesn't develop into a serious infection that could cause him to miss more time.

Even if the Warriors miss Gary Payton II, the team should still have enough firepower to take down the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Wolves have their own fair share of injuries themselves, with both Anthony Edwards and Naz Reid being listed as questionable. It's worth noting that the Timberwolves are the much fresher team and the Warriors are on the second night of a back-to-back.

Last season, the Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves split games in the regular season, but both teams are much different this season. The Warriors are no longer the team that can't win on the road, and the Wolves have started this season 6-2.

The Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves face off tonight at 5:30 p.m. PST tonight.
