Warriors Player Reveals Concerning Statement About Minutes

One Warriors player isn't sure why he's getting pulled out of the game.

The biggest elephant in the room for the Golden State Warriors all season is going to be the distribution of minutes between younger players and veterans. The younger players of the team have typically outperformed the veterans, but their minutes aren't as consistent. The perfect example of this is Jonathan Kuminga.

In an exclusive interview with Marcus Thompson of The Athletic, Jonathan Kuminga revealed a concerning quote about his minutes. With how inconsistent they are, he's beginning to question whether or not he's making the right or wrong decisions.

“But sometimes,” Kuminga said to Thompson, “I’ve gotta take that away to make sure my OGs get the ball. That’s where it’s confusing. Sometimes, I come out the game not knowing what I did. And that messes with my head. It’s like, ‘What they want me to do?’ I can pass and I can do different s**t."

Kuminga's minutes have definitely fluctuated from game to game. These are his minutes distributions for the Warriors' last six games: 23, 30, 27, 34, 19, 21. While he's averaging 24.4 minutes in the month of December, there isn't really a set range for Kuminga, and that's on the lower end for a player putting up 14.5 points and 5.1 rebounds.

Still, these problems are good problems to have for the Golden State Warriors. However, at some point, it needs to get figured out because they can quickly turn into bad problems during a losing streak.
