Warriors Rookie Makes History vs Nuggets

Brandin Podziemski has been fantastic.

Game after game, Brandin Podziemski proves that he's the steal of the NBA draft. Even though the Warriors lost to the Nuggets on Christmas Day, Podziemski made history during the game.

Brandin Podziemski became the first rookie in NBA history to have 9+ rebounds, 6+ assists, 5+ steals, and 3+ three-pointers in a single game. Podziemski's overall stat line on Christmas was 13 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, and 5 steals on 57/75/100. It was truly a tremendous night for Podziemski, and he continues to thrive in a starting role for the Golden State Warriors.

With the way Podziemski has been performing, it wouldn't be crazy to say that he should have been a top-10 pick in the draft for the Warriors. It's been quite a blessing for Golden State to find great guard play in the draft after trading away Jordan Poole. If the franchise wants to have any way of staying in the playoff hunt through Steph Curry's golden years, they'll need to continue to develop young players like Brandin Podziemski.

The Golden State Warriors lost to the defending champion Nuggets on Christmas Day, but the Warriors put up a tremendous fight. Still, their four-game winning streak has been officially snapped. It doesn't get any easier for Golden State though, their next four games are against Miami, Dallas, Orland, and Denver.
