Warriors Star Unexpectedly Ruled OUT vs Wizards

One important Warriors player has been suddenly ruled out

The Golden State Warriors are set to face the Washington Wizards tonight, but they'll have to do it without one important player - Andrew Wiggins.

Wiggins was suddenly downgraded to out against the Wizards tonight due to general illness. Brandin Podziemski however, is playing tonight after initially being listed as questionable.

As it stands, the Warriors will be missing Draymond Green, Gary Payton II, and Andrew Wiggins against the Washington Wizards. While that sounds severely shorthanded, the Wizards are still a team with a 5-22 record that the Warriors should not be struggling with - especially if Steph Curry is playing. On top of that, the Warriors have the rest advantage against the Wizards tonight.

Before the game, Jordan Poole was seen embracing all the members of the Warriors roster, from Steph Curry to Gary Payton II to Kevon Looney. Tonight will be a homecoming for Poole to the Bay Area, one where he'll likely receive a tribute video for helping win an NBA Championship with the franchise. The added emotions might ignite a fire within Poole and his teammates to try even harder to win the game, but the Warriors still have enough talent to win. There are not many excuses the Warriors could give if they lose this game tonight.

The Golden State Warriors and Washington Wizards face off tonight at 10:00 p.m. EST.
