Two 49ers Receive Performance-Based Bonuses for 2023

These two 49ers players will surely be happy after receiving performance based bonuses for the 2023 season.

Cha-ching.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy and cornerback Deommodore Lenoir are receiving performance-based bonuses for their efforts in the 2023 season. The NFL announced it today as the two players are in the top 25 for highest paid bonuses.

Purdy is receiving $739, 795, while Lenoir is receiving $790, 744. So, on top of their already set salaries, Purdy and Lenoir get a nice kicker after the season to treat themselves. Both players are more than deserving of these bonuses. Without their efforts, the 49ers aren't as good as they were this past season.

The 49ers look to finally have a legitimate starting quarterback in Purdy. Unlike quarterbacks in the past under Kyle Shanahan, Purdy doesn't need everything to be perfect. He doesn't need his hand held in the offense and can operate more than fine on his own.

As for Lenoir, the 49ers defense would not have had the flexibility they did if not for him. Lenoir was able to be a versatile cornerback who can kick inside and out as a high-level player. He has easily become a staple on the defense and one the 49ers can trust as an anchor moving forward.

Purdy and Lenoir are easily one of the top reasons to be excited about the 49ers going into 2024. A bit of noise has been made regarding the lack of significant additions in free agency by the team, but it is players like Purdy and Lenoir that make the need for a serious addition unnecessary.

Congratulations to Purdy and Lenoir for these bonuses. Their 2023 seasons were nothing short of amazing.
