Bengals Roll With Popular Option in Sourced Mock Draft
Cincinnati has needs in the trenches this cycle.
CINCINNATI — NFL Network's Peter Schrager released his first mock draft this cycle built using sourced conversations and Cincinnati stayed in the trenches like they have on so many mocks.
Texas defensive tackle Byron Murphy slotted to Cincinnati at Pick 18.
"Murphy is the top interior defensive line prospect in this class," Schrager wrote. "He has interviewed well and was a workout warrior in Indy. B.J. Hill and free-agent addition Sheldon Rankins are solid veterans inside. Murphy would fortify the group with his highly disruptive game."
Murphy is the consensus big board's 17th-ranked prospect and top defensive tackle.
