Lamar Jackson Officially Requests Trade From Baltimore Ravens

The two sides have been in a contract stalemate.

CINCINNATI — Lamar Jackson just revealed he requested a trade from the Ravens weeks ago.

Baltimore is not meeting the contract demands from its quarterback, and he officially asked out on March 2.

"As of March 2nd," Jackson said in a Twitter thread. "I requested a trade from the Ravens organization for which the Ravens has not been interested in meeting my value, any and everyone that’s has met me or been around me know I love the game of football and my dream is to help a team."

Jackson did not play in the final month of the 2022-23 season as the Ravens fell in the Wild Card Round to Cincinnati.

He is currently on the non-exclusive franchise tag, which pays roughly $32 million next season. It's obvious he does not want to play on that one-year runway.

If Jackson gets traded, Cincinnati should move closer to an even money favorite to win the AFC North for a third-straight season.
