Philadelphia Eagles’ Jason Kelce Calls For Buffalo Bills DT Jordan Phillips To Be Fined: ‘Bull****!’

Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce aired out his frustrations toward Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Jordan Phillips.

Even days after the final whistle has blown following the Buffalo Bills' 37-34 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in overtime on Sunday, players are still going back and forth over what transpired on and off the field.

One of those players is Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce. Kelce went on the 94WIP Morning Show on Wednesday and talked about how Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Jordan Phillips should have been fined for his hit on Eagles offensive lineman Cam Jurgens.

"I thought it was b******* at the time," Kelce said. "I really did. I said so to the official on the field. I said, 'Listen, I've been running that play [for] a lot of years. I've seen people jump offsides. [Phillips] made zero effort to stop."

On 4th and 1 with 2:07 left in the first quarter from the Bills' 47-yard line, the Eagles lined up for their patented "Brotherly Shove," and Phillips moved early and shoved Jurgens to the ground. Phillips was flagged for encroachment.

Kelce said he thought it should have been more than an encroachment penalty and that Phillips should have been called for a personal foul. Kelce also blamed the officials for how the rest of the game was played because of how they handled that call.

"He purposely tried to hurt Cam Jurgens," Kelce said. "I thought it should have been a personal foul, and I think he should be fined for that play ... I thought that play in particular was absolutely a disgrace that the NFL should not allow."

Kelce added: "I don't know Jordan Phillips. He might be the best guy in the world, but in my opinion, the NFL needs to do something about it because that shouldn't have been allowed in this game...Because they didn't call that, you saw things happen throughout the rest of the game."

Phillips dealt with his issues off of the field as well. He and Bills defensive end Shaw Lawson got into it with an Eagles fan during the game and they had to be separated by security.

"I love the crowd," Phillips said. "I love rowdy fans it makes the game fun, but one thing I’m not going to tolerate is someone threatening me or my family. This is a line that shouldn’t be crossed."

Overall, it was a tough day for Phillips and the Bills as they blew a 10-point lead and a chance to make up ground in the AFC playoff picture.
