The streak is finally over!

The Denver Broncos beat the Kansas City Chiefs in dominating fashion on Sunday, 24-9. The Broncos marched down the field on their opening drive, scored a touchdown, and never looked back.

It wasn’t an easy win, but it was significant. In a game in which the Broncos never trailed, there are several studs and zero duds today.

Let's dive into the Broncos' biggest studs in Week 8's victory.

Vance Joseph | DC

Joseph was on his last leg three weeks ago but has somehow clawed his way back. The Broncos' defense played very well against a typically explosive Chiefs’ offense, holding them to only three field goals.

Denver's defense picked off Patrick Mahomes twice, finishing with five total takeaways and 11 quarterback hits. The Broncos were relentless all day, holding the Chiefs to only three third-down conversions and forcing turnovers on downs three times.

It was a dominating performance by Joseph's defense.

Baron Browning | OLB

The Broncos' best all-around edge rusher is finally on the field full-time, and he made his presence felt. Browning's strip-sack was a game-changer, as the Chiefs were poised to score a touchdown before halftime.

Kansas City was at the Broncos’ 27-yard line and was moving the ball efficiently. That forced fumble and recovery was huge when the tide of the game could have turned in favor of Denver's opponent.

Browning played significant snaps after being on a bit of a 'pitch count' last week due to having just come off of the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list. He was a star of the game with four solo tackles, two sacks, two tackles for a loss, a forced fumble, and three QB hits.

Browning was constantly applying pressure on Mahomes as well. It was a magnificent return for Browning.

Javonte Williams | RB

It wasn’t a huge performance, but Williams churned out the necessary yards on the ground to keep the Chiefs' offense on the sideline. He ran with power and often made something out of nothing.

If not for the two losses on rushes to end the game, Williams would have been close to the century mark. He ran 27 times for 85 yards and added three catches for 13 yards and a touchdown. It was the solid performance that needed to happen to beat the Chiefs.

Ja’Quan McMillian | CB

The Broncos' defensive performance was started early by Ja’Quan McMillian. The undrafted second-year player out of East Carolina College snagged an interception in the second quarter and also had two big tackles for a loss.

McMillian was a training camp star, and that early good practice play is starting to pay off. He finished the game with six total tackles (five solo), two tackles for a loss, a pass defended, and an interception.

McMillian set the tone early, and the defense never looked back. It looks more and more like he has a solid future in the Broncos’ secondary.
