The Denver Broncos are coming off their second-straight victory and in many ways, it was an impressive one. A week removed from beating the L.A. Chargers on the road, Denver shut out the Tennessee Titans 16-0 at Empower Field at Mile High.

Things are clicking for the Broncos. Pontificators around the NFL are starting to take notice of what Vic Fangio is cooking up in Denver and we're beginning to see the Broncos climb in the power rankings.

The MMQB released their NFL power rankings heading into Week 7 and it saw the Broncos climb three spots over last week.

Here's what the MMQB had to say:

24. DENVER BRONCOS (2-4)

Previous rank: 27
Points in poll: 65
Highest-place vote: 19 (1 voter)
Lowest-place vote: 26 (1 voter)
Last week’s result: Beat Tennessee, 16-0
This week: vs. Kansas City (Thurs.)

Pitching a shutout and forcing a starting QB benching means another great week for Denver’s rejuvenated defense, and the Broncos have now pulled within two games of first in the AFC West.

Inexplicably, despite starting off this season 0-4, the Broncos find themselves just two games out of the AFC West lead. And with the Kansas City Chiefs next up on the schedule, the Broncos have the chance to climb even higher.

If the Broncos do manage to turn this season around, it will no doubt be due to a combination of the team playing better but also the Division foes backsliding somewhat. It is always the case for teams who dig themselves out of a hole.

Just look at the 2011 Broncos who won the AFC West at 8-8 after starting off the season 2-5. Not only did the Tim Tebow-led Broncos have to rattled off a six-game winning streak but the likes of Kansas City, Oakland and the Chargers collectively stunk it up.

I'm not saying that is what's in store for the 2019 AFC West but for Denver to complete a turnaround, they'll need a little luck in the Division but most importantly, the Broncos will have to be Masters of their own Destiny.
