The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are hoping lightning will strike twice for Andrew Adams against the Carolina Panthers.

The veteran safety has been signed by the Bucs just days before their Thursday Night Football matchup against the NFC South rival, and considering what he did against them last year, it could be a huge addition for Tampa Bay.

Injuries have been an issue for the Bucs at safety again this year, and adding quality depth like Adams at this point in the season is a huge win for the defense.

Even if he doesn't pick off Cam Newton three times Thursday night, Adams should still provide them much-needed health and experience on the back end as the team tries to turn around on a short week and get their first win of the season.
