Cardinals Snap Counts vs Rams

The Arizona Cardinals fell to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 12 - here's how the snap counts panned out:

ARIZONA -- The Arizona Cardinals weren't quite able to walk away with a victory at State Farm Stadium, falling to the Los Angeles Rams in 37-14 fashion on Sunday.

Now at 2-10, the Cardinals know they're simply playing for pride and momentum moving the rest of the way.

Four players played all 71 snaps on Sunday: Paris Johnson, Will Hernandez, Hjalte Froholdt and D.J. Humphries.

Carter O'Donnell started the game but was eventually replaced by Trystan Colon.

Kyler Murray played all but one snap but was replaced by Clayton Tune on a tush-push for a two-point conversion.

Marquise Brown (unsurprisingly) led the Cardinals receivers in snaps with 62 (87%). With Michael Wilson out, it was Greg Dortch who stepped into the WR2 role with 54 snaps. Rondale Moore was right behind him at 53.

James Conner played just 30 snaps, and head coach Jonathan Gannon was asked about that postgame.

“Flow of the game, flow of the game. He wants the ball. But that's what I mean about getting off plays. You know what I mean? We have to stay on the field longer and get off plays, so guys get touches."

Michael Carter played 27 snaps and was mostly utilized as a pass-catching running back as Arizona trailed most of the day.

Trey McBride continues to establish his presence in Arizona by playing 61 (86%) of snaps. He played triple the next tight end (Geoff Swaim at 20 snaps).

Three players remained on the field for all 67 snaps on Sunday: Jalen Thompson, Budda Baker and Josh Woods. Garrett Williams (60) and Kei'Trel Clark (59) were the only other players to log over 62% of snaps on Arizona's defense.

The main story is the absence of Marco Wilson, who has seen his playing time diminish over the last few weeks despite before not playing a single defensive snap on Sunday. He was featured on special teams against LA.

Starling Thomas (40, 60%) and Divaad Wilson (35, 52%) logged the rest of corner snaps.

BJ Ojulari (33, 49%) continues to push himself further into the rotation, as only Zaven Collins (34, 51%) outsnapped him on the edge. Dennis Gardeck was just behind Ojulari with 31 snaps.
