Former Cardinals QB Waived by Jets

Former Arizona Cardinals QB Chris Streveler was waived by the New York Jets today.

Former Arizona Cardinals QB Chris Streveler has been waived by the New York Jets, according to the team.

"Streveler (6-1, 216) spent most of last season on the Green & White's practice squad after signing with the team last July. He played in two games last season. Streveler has played in nine games in three seasons (two with the Cardinals, one with the Jets) and has 231 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT while completing 67.5% of his passes," said the team in a statement.

Streveler went 1-for-7 passing for nine yards and one interception in the Pro Football Hall of Fame game. He also had one rush for seven yards.

Streveler was competing with Zach Wilson and Tim Boyle to be the backup to Aaron Rodgers.

Fans here in the desert fondly remember his time with the Cardinals as a backup quarterback, leaving his mark as a preseason legend running over backup defenders here at State Farm Stadium.
