Kyler Murray Expected to Play vs Eagles

Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray is expected to play against the Philadelphia Eagles.

ARIZONA -- After dealing with illness throughout the week of practice, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is expected to play against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 17.

Murray didn't practice on Wednesday or Thursday before returning on Friday.

Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon was confident Murray would play this week.

"Yeah, he'll be out there today. He's feeling better - he'll be ready to go," Gannon said to reporters on Friday.

Gannon was asked if the limited practice prep was concerning:

"A little bit, but he's played a lot of ball. He was out there yesterday and got all the mental reps. We've probably met more this week than any other week just getting him up to speed on things but like I said, he'll be out there today and he'll go let it rip," he said.

Murray returned in Week 10 after making a full recovery from ACL rehab. Thus far, he's passed for 1,305 yards with six touchdowns and four interceptions. He's also added 187 yards and three touchdowns on the ground through his six games played.

The Cardinals are just 3-12 on the year with two weeks to go, though two of Arizona's wins have come under Murray's guidance.

Cardinals-Eagles is set to kickoff at 11:00 AM Arizona time.
