Cardinals WR Michael Wilson is Valuable Fantasy Football Stash
ARIZONA -- Although the Arizona Cardinals aren't quite in the playoff picture themselves, wide receiver Michael Wilson could help your fantasy football squad to a chip.
Wilson has struggled with shoulder issues this season, though when healthy, he's been effective in Arizona's offense.
Down the stretch of the fantasy postseason, he's certainly a name worth monitoring.
PFF's Nathan Jahnke highlighted Wilson in his waiver wire adds for Week 13:
"Wilson played well early in the season but has missed the past two games with a shoulder injury," wrote Jahnke.
"Wilson has 435 receiving yards through the first 10 weeks of the season, ranking 40th among wide receivers. That alone should be enough for him to be on fantasy rosters.
"He has the highest average depth of target among Arizona’s top receivers (14.8 yards).
"Kyler Murray has a history of throwing deep passes with regularity. In Week 11, his average target depth (10.3) was two yards more than that of Joshua Dobbs (8.3). This means we could see more deep passes from Murray to Wilson.
"The Cardinals have the sixth-best schedule for wide receivers over the rest of the season and the ninth-best during the fantasy playoffs, according to PFF’s strength of schedule tool."
The Athletic's Jake Ciely also says Wilson is worth monitoring:
"Wilson might be out through the bye, but his upside is a WR3 for the fantasy playoffs if looking to stash," wrote Ciely, who also said he was "meh" on Greg Dortch and Rondale Moore:
"Moore doesn’t see much volume, and Dortch doesn’t see top-two consistent route participation. Dortch is a fine one-week flier if Michael Wilson doesn’t return, but the Cardinals have a bye next week."
Wilson is available in majority of leagues and is certainly worth a stash.
