ARIZONA -- The Arizona Cardinals won't have to worry about Jamal Adams or Quandre Diggs, at least with the Seattle Seahawks moving forward.

From NFL insider Tom Pelissero:

"The Seahawks are releasing three-time Pro Bowl safeties Jamal Adams and Quandre Diggs, per sources. The moves save $27.5 million in cash and significant cap space for Seattle, which will look a lot different in the Mike Macdonald era."

The Seahawks are also reportedly releasing tight end Will Dissly - which saves an additional $7 million in cash.

Seattle is under a new regime and has already made it clear the Seahawks are doing business differently.

With the official start of the league year coming next week - and thus free agency - the Seahawks hope they can make a push into the postseason under new head coach Mike Macdonald, who was brought in after Pete Carroll was brushed to the side.

The Cardinals haven't beaten the Seahawks since November of 2021, losing their last five games against Seattle. Arizona nearly pulled off an upset in Week 18 of 2023, though Matt Prater missed a game-winning field goal that gave the Seahawks the win.

Most Cardinals fans weren't complaining, however. The missed kick cemented Arizona with the No. 4 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Seattle also announced they were sticking with quarterback Geno Smith this offseason after his contract for 2024 became fully guaranteed.
