B/R: Cardinals Shouldn't Re-Sign This Free Agent

The Arizona Cardinals should not bring back one of their offensive linemen.

ARIZONA -- The Arizona Cardinals have a handful of tough decisions to make with free agency starting next week, though one outlet has an idea of one player they should let walk.

In Bleacher Report's article going through one free agent each team should not re-sign, B/R says the team should avoid bringing back Elijah Wilkinson:

"In short, it was a tough season for Elijah Wilkinson. Injuries robbed him of seven games, and the veteran didn't play well regardless. Arizona should not keep Trystan Colon and Wilkinson, and the former is three years younger. Wilkinson is probably headed for his fifth team in five seasons," wrote David Kenyon.

Arizona doesn't have many marquee free agents to bring back, as Marquise Brown is the biggest name the team will have to make a decision on.

As far as Wilkinson, he started nine games for the Cardinals last season.

Arizona is expected to bring in more help along the offensive line in either free agency (where they have over $50 million in cap space) or the 2024 NFL Draft (where they have double-digit picks).

The team has already been semi-active as free agency looks to begin on Monday, as the Cardinals have already brought back L.J. Collier on a one-year deal and tendered Greg Dortch.

Wilkinson just turned 29 years young.
