Kyler Murray Posts Support for Aaron Rodgers

Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray posted a quick story on his Instagram page to show support for Aaron Rodgers.

Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray was just the latest big name to post support for New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers after an unfortunate injury occurred on Monday Night Football, one that could see the future Hall of Famer's career come to an end.

Rodgers - who will turn 40 later this year - tore his Achilles on his very first drive as a Jet. He tried to walk it off but eventually went back to the turf at MetLife Stadium and was carted to the blue medical tent on the sideline before being taken to the locker room.

Replays showed what clearly appeared to be a serious injury:

"As you guys can imagine, he's down," Jets coach Robert Saleh said to reporters on Monday, when New York announced he would be hitting injured reserve.

"I'll let him answer those questions. I didn't get into the future of what he's expecting or what he's thinking. I think that's a conversation, tactfully, left for another day. But he's, as you can imagine, with everything that he's invested in this, he's obviously a little disappointed."

Many believed the Jets to be a Super Bowl contender prior to the injury, and now Rodgers' absence casts a cloud of doubt over that thought.

Murray himself is recovering from a significant injury after tearing his ACL/meniscus in Week 14 of last season. He is currently on the PUP list and will miss at least the first four games of the 2023 season.
