Report: Mike Kafka Nets Second Interview With Cardinals

New York Giants OC Mike Kafka is now one of a handful of coaches to get a second interview with the Arizona Cardinals.

Just earlier today, the Arizona Cardinals were reportedly scheduling a second interview with Cincinnati Bengals DC Lou Anarumo, which is scheduled for late next week according to Mike Garafolo.

Now, you can add New York Giants OC Mike Kafka into that mix according to Ian Rapoport:

The Cardinals initially brought in Dallas Cowboys DC Dan Quinn for a second interview but he ultimately went back to Dallas for another season.

Arizona is reportedly supposed to give Aaron Glenn another look, according to ESPN’s Josina Anderson.

Kafka arrived to the Giants after five seasons under Andy Reid with the Kansas City Chiefs, where he was the quarterbacks coach for Patrick Mahomes.

Last season, he helped turn the Giants around from a 4-13 team to a team that won a playoff game. The play of Daniel Jones - under Kafka’s guidance - was a big part.

There’s hope if Kafka is hired that he could do similar work with Kyler Murray, something Kliff Kingsbury wasn’t able to do during his four years in Arizona.
