10 Ex-Chargers Free Agents Still Unsigned As NFL Draft Approaches

10 former Tom Telesco-era 2023 Los Angeles Chargers players have yet to find new NFL homes late into NFL free agency.

Per Gavino Borquez of Chargers Wire, running back Joshua Kelley, safety Dean Marlowe, linebacker Tanner Muse, tight end Nick Vannett, defensive tackle Nick Williams, offensive lineman Cameron Tom, cornerback Essang Bassey, wide receivers Alex Erickson and Jalen Guyton, and EDGE Justin Hollins are all still stuck on the open market.

Among these, it's perhaps most surprising that no one has taken at least a veteran's minimum flyer on Kelley. The UCLA product, a Lancaster native, enjoyed a fairly productive run during his fourth year as a pro. The 26-year-old recorded 107 carries (48th-most in the NFL) for a total of 405 yards (54th-most) and two touchdowns (59th-most for a running back).

It's curious he didn't stick with Los Angeles, really, given that the team under new head coach Jim Harbaugh and new general manager Joe Hortiz is looking to emphasize its run game and alleviate some passing pressure from Pro Bowl quarterback Justin Herbert. Erickson and Guyton, meanwhile, didn't make much of an impact in LA, who is looking to also bolster its wideout help after ditching top producers Keenan Allen and Mike Williams earlier this offseason.
