Chargers News: AFC Scout Expects Jim Harbaugh To Carry Over Key Offensive Team-Building Strategy

As the Los Angeles Chargers get ready for the upcoming NFL Draft, they have already started building their roster to reflect how head coach Jim Harbaugh wants to do things. Harbaugh has always built his teams through the trenches on both sides of the ball.

He believes a strong running game should be the priority within an offensive system and it has worked out very well in his favor through the years. Now with the Bolts, Harbaugh is determined to build a sustainable, winning team for years to come.

One AFC scout believes that with Harbaugh in the mix, the Bolts will continue to work toward the way he does things. It's a simple thought, but one that Harbaugh could have tried to change entering back into the NFL.

“The offensive line has always been the hub of the offense for Harbaugh,” an AFC director of college scouting said. “He didn’t even have highly recruited wideouts at Michigan, and now that thought process is supposed to change?”

The Bolts are expected to beef up their offensive line through the draft, helping to build the type of physical team that Harbaugh wants. While the Chargers may not be the most competitive squad next season, it's all about building the culture right now. Each year, there are teams who shock everyone and maybe the Chargers can be the team to surprise people next year.
