First Look at Former Chargers RB Austin Ekeler Wearing Commanders Gear

Check out Ekeler in his new threads.

The Los Angeles Chargers have lost more than they've gained this offseason thus far. Many of their prominent offensive players will wear new threads this season, including their former star running back, Austin Ekeler.

Eekler headed to the East Coast to join the Washington Commanders in their backfield. The 28-year-old will be with a new NFL team for the first time in his career. If you're wondering how he looks in his new colors, there is no need to wonder anymore. Ekeler posted photos of him working out in Commanders gear via X.

Ekeler and the Commanders agreed to a two-year deal once the new league year began mid-March. The deal is worth up to $11 million.

The former Charger star spent seven seasons in San Diego/Los Angeles. As a Bolt, he racked up 4355 rushing yards on 990 carries, 39 rushing touchdowns, and 30 receiving touchdowns. He was the ultimate dual-threat back for the Bolts during his tenure. His best seasons with his team came in 2021 and 2022. In those seasons, when he should've been a Pro Bowler, he racked up 3195 scrimmage yards and 39 touchdowns.

Ekeler will try to find his groove with the Commanders in this fresh start he will get. We wish the former long-time Bolt the best.
