Chargers News: Top WR Draft Prospect Set to Visit Bolts

With the 2024 NFL Draft less than a month away, the Los Angeles Chargers are hosting several prospects they could end up selecting at the end of the month. One of those visiting prospects is LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers, who is considered one of the top receivers in the draft.

Nabers will visit the Chargers on Wednesday, after visiting the Arizona Cardinals on Tuesday. He also visited the New York Giants before his Pro Day on March 27, via NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe.

Nabers is coming off a final collegiate season in which he caught 89 receptions for 1,569 yards and 14 touchdowns. Nabers was a unanimous All-American and a finalist for the Fred Biletnikoff award. On top of his proven production, Nabers is an exciting prospect thanks to his speed. Nabers ran an impressive 4.35 40-yard dash at his Pro Day.

Nabers' visiting doesn't guarantee that the Chargers will select him if he's available at No. 5, but it does show the team has an interest in him.

Wide receiver is one of the positions the Chargers are most expected to pick with the fifth overall draft choice, especially after losing top wideouts Keenan Allen and Mike Williams this offseason.

Nabers, along with Ohio State's Marvin Harrison Jr. and Washington's Rome Odunze, are considered the receivers the Chargers are most likely to take if they do select from that position in the first round.

Their top competitor to take one of these players before the Chargers can is the Arizona Cardinals, who hold the No. 4 overall pick. The Giants, who already hosted Nabers for a visit, hold the No. 6 pick.
