Chargers News: Bolts Top WR Target Runs Ridiculous Fast 40-Yard Dash

The Los Angeles Chargers hold the fifth overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft and are expected to land either a wide receiver or offensive tackle. After a disappointing 5-12 record last season, the Bolts will be looking to change their fortune with the arrival of a top player in the draft class.

With new head coach Jim Harbaugh now in the mix, the Bolts have a certain buzz around them. While he may prefer to take an offensive lineman, the Chargers do have a need at the reciever position.

The team traded away Keenan Allen and released Mike Williams this offseason, leaving a massive hole in the reciever room. Sitting in the fifth spot gives the Bolts a chance to bring in a game-changer and one of their main targets just put on a show at his Pro-Day.

LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers ran a ridiculously fast 40-yard dash at his Pro Day, helping his case for potential teams. He is expected to be one of the first receivers taken off the board, possibly to the Chargers. You can see him run the 40-yard dash below.

Nabers is regarded as one of the better receivers in the class and he starred while with the Tigers. He caught 89 passes for 1,569 yards and 14 touchdowns last season.

Adding him to the Chargers offense would give them a young, explosive wide receiver to work with. He would instantly become a favorite target of star quarterback Justin Herbert, helping to usher in a new era of Chargers' football.

The Bolts can't go wrong with their pick in the first round this season. But adding a dynamic playmaker like Nabers seems to be a smart choice.
