Chargers Injury Report: Surprising Keenan Allen Update Ahead Of Packers Bout
After a week of vacillation when it came to his shoulder injury, five-time Pro Bowl Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen is set to play tomorrow against the Packers, as Adam Schefter of ESPN reports:
Allen left the Chargers' loss to the Lions on Sunday with an AC joint injury, but eventually returned to the game and caught a game-tying touchdown late in the 4th quarter.
The veteran receiver is having a career year, highlighted by an 18-catch, 215-yard performance against the Vikings, and an 11-catch, 175-yard, 2-touchdown performance in spite of injury last week against Detroit.
With Josh Palmer and Mike Williams, the Chargers' other two starting wide receivers, out with knee injuries, Keenan's presence is that much more important on Sunday.
It's close to a must-win game for the Bolts, who currently sit at 4-5 with some seriously difficult games still on the schedule, including matchups with Kansas City, Buffalo, Baltimore, Denver (2x), and the Raiders – all of whom have the same/a better record than the Chargers.
The Packers are not very good, sitting at 3-7 overall and 1-6 in their last 7 games, with their only win being against the Rams, who started a backup quarterback.
The Bolts should be good to win this game, but on the road in a hostile Lambeau environment isn't where you want to be for a 10:00am PST kickoff. Let's see if they can overcome the external factors.
