Chargers News: AFC West Rival Makes Shocking QB Decision

Where will this former Super Bowl champion QB go?

In what seemed to be a long time coming, Los Angeles Chargers division rival, Denver Broncos, have cut former Super Bowl-winning champion Russell Wilson.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport shared via X.

After only two years in Denver, the Broncos have cut ties with the quarterback they brought in to save their franchise from mediocrity. Instead, it was more of the same from Denver, and the two never seemed eye to eye from the start.

In March 2022, the Borncos traded a haul to acquire the nine-time Pro Bowler. How big was the haul? Well, the Broncos traded two first-round picks, two second-round picks, a fifth-round pick, quarterback Drew Lock, defensive lineman Shelby Harris, and tight-end Noah Fant.

The trade from two years ago will go down as one of the worst in NFL history and arguably the worst in sports history. His time in Denever will be remembered by horrid play by both Wilson and the team, inconsistency, and flat-out horrible decision-making after horrible decision-making. It was a blue in Denver, and now that's all over and done with now.

According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Pittsburgh Steelers have the best odds to land Wilson at +100.

The Chargers went 1-2 against Wilson in his time as Bronco.
