Chargers News: Brock Bowers Speaks About Meeting Jim Harbaugh and Chargers

Potential draft target TE Brock Bowers discussed meeting Jim Harbaugh and the Chargers at the NFL Combine.

The Los Angeles Chargers are at the NFL Combine to scout out the young talent they might just select in the 2024 NFL Draft. The team currently owns the #5 pick in the draft, which could be used to select an instant playmaker.

One of those instant playmakers could be Georgia's TE Brock Bowers. Bowers has the right skill, athleticism, and hands to be an instant impact player on the field. The Chargers could also use his skillset with current TE Gerald Everett being a pending free agent.

Bowers was being interviewed at the Combine when he was asked about what it was like to meet Jim Harbaugh and the Chargers organization.

"I met with the Chargers the other night. Me and Coach Harbaugh talked about when we played them [Michigan] in 2021 when he was recruiting him. It was cool to see him again and talk to him."

While Bowers's comments are necessarily the most exciting, the underlying story here is that he has already met with Harbaugh and the organization. Teams often meet with players ahead of the Combine and the Draft, which is another way for a final interview to take place.

Bowers is high on many team's draft boards, including the Chargers. He would instantly improve the TE room, and we wouldn't be the least bit shocked if the Bolts draft him at #5.
