Chargers News: Khalil Mack Has Achieved a Huge NFL Record

Age is nothing but a number.

The Los Angeles Chargers may not be playing for anything, but players are giving it their all in their season finale.

The Bolts are giving it their all, including their superstar edge rusher Khalil Mack. Mack, individually speaking, is having one heck of a season. The eight-time Pro Bowler has not lost a step, and on Sunday, he recorded another sack to his name, making it his 17th of the season.

With that 17th sack, he became the second-oldest player 32 years or older to record the most sacks in a season.

The 32-year-old is having one of the best seasons of his career. Before Sunday's game, Mack had recorded 16 sacks, 69 total tackles, 17 QB hits, 18 tackles for loss, five forced fumbles, and eight passes defended.

Mack is proving that age is nothing but a number. Even though the season didn't pan out for the team, we're happy for Khalil and his individual accomplishments.

Hopefully, Mack will decide to return to the Chargers next season. With a new HC and GM in place, the team should make it a point to secure Mack's services for a season that could see the Bolts regain their AFC relevance.
