Chargers News: Watch Khalil Mack Tie His Season-High in Sacks

Vintage Mack.

In what has been a disastrous season for your 5-7 Los Angeles Chargers thus far – especially defensively – one player has been performing at an elite level.

Pro Bowl edge rusher Khalil Mack, who is now in his age-32 season, now has 15 sacks on the season. The above clip was his second of the day and most recent on the season.

This paces the NFL, and makes Mack the oldest player inside the top-50 of the league's sack leaders.

Last time Mack recorded 15 sacks was in the 2015 season, when he was a member of the then-Oakland Raiders. That year, he was named a First-Team All Pro and to a Pro Bowl.

If the Chargers want to turn their season around, Mack is going to be a massive piece in making that possible. Consistent pressure off of the edge is what disrupts opposing offenses, reducing time to throw and big play frequency.

With must-win matchups against the Chiefs and Bills on the calendar, the Bolts will need the perfect storm to sneak into the Wild Card.
