Quentin Johnston Updates Charger Report on Viral Draft Night Moment
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston just wrapped up his first season with the team, and he spoke all about his amazing experiences in 2023 with Charger Report.
One of those experiences took place during the 2023 NFL Draft when Johnston told his mom that she would not have to work again. In a heartwarming clip that went viral, Johnston stole the hearts of fans worldwide.
"She finally did it [gave a two-week notice], after two or three weeks. In that moment leading up to that, the few weeks leading up to that, I wanted to do something special. Honestly, wasn't really sure what I wanted to do at that point. I'll give her a card, give her some flowers. That was a huge moment for me, a huge turning point for me. I just wanted to do something for her, and change her life at that point."
