Colts Owner Jim Irsay Breaks Silence, Provides Health Update

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay updated the NFL world on his health status.

The Indianapolis Colts have one of the most unique and outspoken owners in all of sports, Jim Irsay. It's rare for the public not to hear from the Colts' leader for extended periods, but after a months-long hiatus due to health issues, Irsay took to Twitter/X on Tuesday to provide an update.

Irsay wrote:

"On the mend. Grateful for all the messages of love and support."

Irsay was found unresponsive in December for what was initially thought to be a drug overdose. Eventually, it came out from the released 911 call to be possible congestive heart failure.

This greatly concerned many Colts fans and players about his future as the team owner.

While it's still uncertain to what capacity Irsay may or may not return to ownership, he's not generally one to back down from anything.

If Irsay can get back to square one and address his health, he may return to heading the team and being involved with operations once again. During his recuperation, Irsay's daughters Carlie Irsay-Gordon, Kalen Jackson, and Casey Foyt have stepped in to oversee things in Indianapolis.

The news is still developing. However, it is a massive step in the right direction for Irsay's full recovery.

The NFL has its fair share of interesting team owners but there are none like Irsay, who tends to go against the grain with a maverick-like mentality, sometimes even challenging league authority on issues he deems fit.

Colts fans will wait for more information to unfold from this fantastic news on Irsay's health.
